Color Club Mrs.Hautie & Snakeskin

Two more Color Clubs from the Untamed Luxury! Do you know how long its taken me to wear these. Too long. *hangs head in shame* I think I've had them since Oct of 2010?

Oh well, they're on the nails now. First I put on Mrs. Hautie. I was in love with the bottle color, but it was ehhhh on the nail. Still pretty, just not what I expected.

Snakeskin is gorgeous but it has a little too much olive green undertone for me.

Brushstrokes galore on these! If you change your nail polish as much as I do, then I suppose that wont bother you? Then again....it might just bother you. This is two coats each with Seche Vite topcoat

Milani Awesome Orange & Techno Red

I have two more Milani neons to show you today. First up, my favorite of the two, Awesome Orange. I just love that name. What if someone asks you whats on your nails? "Awesome Orange!", you can reply.

This looks blazing hot with the flash! Almost red.

Here it is without flash, in normal indoor lighting in my house. A little more toned down...but how it looks most of the time on me.

Techno Red looks like squishy red jelly!

If you don't mind visible nail line, then you wont have a problem with these. I used 4 thin coats of each polish and I can still see VNL. They dried quickly and matte, just like neons. Both of these are super cute pops of color so Milani Neons get a thumbs up for me!

Essie Merino Cool

I wanted Essie Merino Cool from Essie's Fall 2010 for the longest but was not able to find it in stores. Is that the story of my nail polish life or what? I lust after an elusive nail polish and search for it, but I am still not able to find it. Seasons and collections go by and then wham! I magically find it in the most unexpected of places. I stumbled upon Merino Cool in Wal-Mart of all places. It was the last one too!

The Essie polishes at Wal-Mart look slightly different than what we are used to to seeing. Notice that new sticker on the bottle in the 3rd picture. This also was $7.75. Twenty five cents less than the usual $8.00 price tag I'm used to seeing.

This color is so complex to me. I see brown, purple and gray all in the one shade. 2 years ago, I would have never worn something like this. I have mostly pink Essies, so this a step outside the box for me and for Essie I think!

Merino Cool? Check! Off the wish list...

Maybelline Pie in the Sky

Still making my way through the Maybelline's Spring 2010 Sweet Thing collection polishes. They are old news as far as collections go, but I reach for the them when I want something light and fun during these cold months. Recently, I pulled out the pretty cornflower blue, Pie in the Sky. For a little something extra, I topped it with a light coat of Sally Hansen's Disco Ball.

With flash, this color looks a lot more intense than the pastel blue it really is.

However, these pictures taken in indoor lighting with no flash are truer to color.

These will take me through the winter, but I am anxiously awaiting the Spring nail polish collections! :-)

Milani Garnet Gems

I love this polish in the bottle, I do. Gorgeous blackened jelly base with red glitter? You cant go wrong. However in real life these always seem to look brown on me. Just like brown sparkly polish. Am I the only one this happens to?

I believe this is three coats, topped with Seche Vite. And no, this polish is not hard to remove at all. Just in case you were wondering.
