Color Club Mrs.Hautie & Snakeskin

Two more Color Clubs from the Untamed Luxury! Do you know how long its taken me to wear these. Too long. *hangs head in shame* I think I've had them since Oct of 2010?

Oh well, they're on the nails now. First I put on Mrs. Hautie. I was in love with the bottle color, but it was ehhhh on the nail. Still pretty, just not what I expected.

Snakeskin is gorgeous but it has a little too much olive green undertone for me.

Brushstrokes galore on these! If you change your nail polish as much as I do, then I suppose that wont bother you? Then again....it might just bother you. This is two coats each with Seche Vite topcoat

Color Club Covered in Diamonds

I recently got half of the the Color Club Fall 2010 Untamed Luxury collection and I was eager to give Color Club another try. After giving Chelsea Girl from the Poptastic collection a whirl and being disappointed, it took a lot to purchase these, but I did. The first polish I tried out was the one named after the collection, Covered in Diamonds. I knew I wanted to layer it over black the moment I saw it, so that exactly what I did!

Covered in Diamonds has different sizes of chunky, holographic glitter in a clear base. This polish was very thick, but I found that I could move the glitter around before it dried. This came in handy when I found glitter hanging haphazardly off of my tips. Topped with two coats of Seche Vite, my nails look thick! I can literally see the polish layered on my nails. All that considered, I still like this combo and so did the cashier at Ulta because she complimented me on my nails. They look sort of comic to me more than being covered in diamonds.

Color Club Chelsea Girl

Um, no. Color Club's Chelsea Girl gets a big NO, nuh, uh, not ever going there again. This is actually last weekend's manicure. I put this on last Saturday when it was dark and raining, hoping this electric blue would cheer me up. It did anything but. The application was a nightmare because of a thin, almost watery formula and awful smell. Its a gorgeous blue in the bottle, but I have on 3 coats and still VNL! From this polish, that's highly annoying to me. Plus, it chipped the same day. I dont want to give up on Color Clubs yet, so maybe it could be either the my chemistry or the Seche topcoat I use thats causing the super fast chipping. We will see, trying out more Color Clubs in the meanwhile...
